Nantucket began in North Carolina in 1997 with a commitment to bringing the flavors and hospitality of New England to our local community.
Our first Nantucket Café quickly developed a loyal following, with customers asking for “more Nantucket.” We listened, opening our first full-service Nantucket Grill & Bar in Chapel Hill in 2002, followed by Durham in 2007 and Raleigh in 2010.
President Milton Ordonez has been part of Nantucket since 1999, growing alongside the company and playing an important role in its development for more than 25 years. Nantucket’s focus remains on maintaining the quality, hospitality, and traditions our guests have come to know, while continuing to invest in our people, our restaurants, and opportunities for thoughtful growth.
Today, we remain committed to many of the things that have defined Nantucket from the beginning: fresh seafood, hand-cut steaks, our signature clam chowder, generous hospitality, and our famous cakes and desserts, freshly made by our bakery team.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains on what has always mattered most—our guests, our people, and the quality of what we serve. Whether you’re joining us for a casual meal, celebrating a special occasion, or simply stopping by for one of our signature desserts, our goal is to provide the quality food and genuine hospitality that have defined the Nantucket experience for decades.

Always my go to!! The best menu items are the Nachos and the Seafood Pasta, always on point and generous portions, I get these every time I go! And of course you can’t go wrong with any flavor cake they have, to die for!!!
